Caribbean-Style Chicken Satay

Tip Of The Day

At Diamond of California®, we believe that nuts make good food even better. To get the most out of your nuts, follow these quick tips on how to store them. Sealed Diamond Nuts packages can go right into the pantry or fridge, but once the bag is opened, nuts should be stored in airtight, odorless containers like Tupperware, canning jars or zip-lock bags. As they can absorb odors of other foods, store nuts away from strong smells like onions or bananas. Nuts should be stored away from heat, light and moisture. Depending on the type of nuts and how they are stored, most nuts can stay fresh in your pantry for between three and six months. Most nuts will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to a year, or you can freeze them for long-term storage.
